At Madison Farm to Fork we believe it is vital to reconnect people to their food source and that the next generation of farmer and consumer are a key component in maintaining and expanding the sustainable agriculture movement. In support of this, our GROWW Program (Gardens, Resources, Outdoors, Wildlife and Watersheds) engages local area youth in outdoors activities tied to farming and healthy ecosystem stewardship. Our award winning three weeks long Good Thymes Camp takes youth on summer field trips to local, organic farms where they gain hands-on experience that includes milking cows, handling baby turkeys, and harvesting corn and squash. Expert led outdoor field trips to explore rivers, streams, and mountain trails also engage young minds to understand soil, water, wildlife, and their value in the Madison Valley. In total, these experiences are designed to model healthy, life-long behaviors and attitudes.
